I paint with micro polyester nets,a source of light, a camera,a digital colour editor and a printer. Most of my art experiments aim to establish a system with an order and pattern, based on shape,
colour and light, from which I can create a rich, diversified and unique universe of art expression.
JELLYFISH is pure abstract art, no code, no ideology, just aimed to please the eye, the heart and the soul.
Although, just like a cloud in the sky, it might suggest any figurative motif.
I first saw a Jellyfish.
The JELLYFISH art process evolves 4 steps: sculpture, photography, digital photo edition, digital printing (optional) or NFT (optional)
1 SCULPTURE
Made with 4 micro polyester nets, corresponding to Red, Green, Blue (RGB, the primary colours of light that generates a wide range of colours) and white, over a black background.
The use of RGB colour connects directly with step 3 - Digital Photo Edition -
In terms of materials, polyester nets are surprisingly rich on generating shapes, textures, moires and transparencies.
2 PHOTOGRAPHY
The ephemeral sculpture is then photographed from different perspectives using a single source of light.
3 DIGITAL PHOTO EDITION
The RGB colour set chosen for nets, matches on purpose the electronic colour system model used on digital photo edition.
This colour compatibility between physical and digital permits each colour net RGB+W to be edited separately regarding the contrast and the colour combination with the other ones.
4a DIGITAL PRINTING
All the digital artwork is available for printing in high resolution and 1,5 m as minimum height.
The large size matters because it enhances the beautiful details in a close-up view and the overview becomes visually more impactful.
It’s mono print (MP) which means, one artwork equals one print.
DM for orders.
4b NFT
This collection is also available as NFT (non fungible token) digital art, minted on Ethereum blockchain.
